Catholic Bishops Congratulates Joe Biden for Winning and Says it’s time to Unite on the “Common Good” and Promote the “Fraternity”

The powerful Vatican-run agency called the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is strategically located in Washington D.C. to convey Rome’s message to the United States on public policy and political life. It is made up of approximately 300 active Roman Catholic bishops from across the nation. They do not represent the 60 million Catholics who live in the United States; rather, they represent the voice of the Vatican. The USCCB exists solely, in addition to its charitable work, to deliver Rome’s legislative agenda to the United States government.

The President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Archbishop José Horacio Gómez, has issued a statement on behalf of the Catholic hierarchy congratulating Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for winning the 2020 Presidential Election. Archbishop José Horacio Gómez also stated that it is time for our nation to move forward and commit to the “common good” and promote the “fraternity.” The statement read in part:

We thank God for the blessings of liberty. The American people have spoken in this election. Now is the time for our leaders to come together in a spirit of national unity and to commit themselves to dialogue and compromise for the common good. As Catholics and Americans, our priorities and mission are clear. We are here to follow Jesus Christ, to bear witness to His love in our lives, and to build His Kingdom on earth. I believe that at this moment in American history, Catholics have a special duty to be peacemakers, to promote fraternity and mutual trust, and to pray for a renewed spirit of true patriotism in our country. [1]

We recognize that Joseph R. Biden, Jr., has received enough votes to be elected the 46th President of the United States. We congratulate Mr. Biden and acknowledge that he joins the late President John F. Kennedy as the second United States president to profess the Catholic faith. We also congratulate Sen. Kamala D. Harris of California, who becomes the first woman ever elected as vice president. We ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, patroness of this great nation, to intercede for us. May she help us to work together to fulfill the beautiful vision of America’s missionaries and founders — one nation under God, where the sanctity of every human life is defended and freedom of conscience and religion are guaranteed.[1]
There you have it. The Catholic Bishops have spoken. The election is over and it’s time to move on to the business of promoting the policies of Rome. And Joe Biden and the Virgin Mary will help us get there. The USCCB used the words “common good” and “fraternity.” These are references that come from the encyclicals of Pope Francis on climate change, Laudato Si’, and on the universal brotherhood, Fratelli Tutti. Rome is working through her bishops to shape the future of America into an image that is consistent with Catholic social teachings. Who will speak out against this? Who will challenge this? Joe Biden? As Protestant Seventh-day Adventists, we must continue giving the warning of the Third Angel’s Message – which warns against civil power sustaining the teachings of the church. This is the heart of the entire matter, which proves once again that the message ordained by God to be given in these last days is a relevant, applicable and necessary warning to the world at this time, regardless of what the skeptics in the church say. 

“She (Rome) is employing every device to extend her influence and increase her power in preparation for a fierce and determined conflict to regain control of the world, to re-establish persecution, and to undo all that Protestantism has done” (Great Controversy, p. 565).
